When I bought my boat it had a pulley assembly that slides into the bow pulpit. The boat wench rope is hooked to a forward backyard and over the pulley. Very easy to raise and lower the mast. I have also just used a line from the cabin top wench to see if that would work in case you needed to lower the mast while not on the trailer.
There was also a bracket that slides down onto the stern rail/pulpit that holds the mast roller. I believe this is also a custom piece. Not sure how this is much different than the original system.
