Frozen zippers

I had the same problem when I bought a small Hunter and began the clean up and restoration process. I tried everything like I'm sure you've done. I ended up replacing the zippers along with all my foam padding in the cushions. All is well now. Good luck. Paul

We had the same problem on a previous boat. Salt carried in the moisture in the air had condensed out leaving a deposit on the plastic zippers that locked them up due to friction. I used a pressure washer on low setting to wash the salt out of the zippers and once I got them started moving they worked free pretty easily.

freeing up a frozen zipper

Try applying vinegar with a cotton ball. Leave the satuated cotton ball on the zipper head overnite. Bob
