I've got a 1972, 30 Pearson, and I'm looking for anyone who can guide me in the right direction to find a curved helm seat (not sure what one would call it) so I can get a better view from the helm when I sit. I've seen some on other boats but have no idea who might sell, or fabricate one for our boat. Really appreciate any help. Thanks

Try these guys. http://www.ccushions.com/ They did mine and I had the helmsman seat built up two layers in order to see over the bow. They have patterns for about any boat. Found them at the Miami boat show.
This is a seat that came with my boat. It's awesome to see over the coach roof. We believe it comes from cushions.com because of color. There is another company called Bottomsiders which you can buy through this forums store. Bottomsiders didn't have a good shade of blue for us so Ccushions it was. Our canvas is pacific blue and it matches well.

I have a raised cushion for just that purpose from Bottom Siders (I think). I bought it for my previous boat and have another one for my current boat. It is curved on top so you can sit comfortably (sort of) when sailing heeled, it also has straps with grommets to secure it to a helm seat. I'd sell the one I'm not using. If you are interested, I'll provide dimensions, weight and a photo.
