Curtain hooks falling out

Beneteau uses the standard curly hooks to keep the curtains up. Seems about half the time I open the curtains one or more of the hooks fall off the curtain, or at least out of the loop on the track. The other day one fell into the AC vent; it was a pain to get that out.

Is there some trick to putting the hooks in the curtains that will keep them from falling out?

Doh! Of course.

My wife is a skilled seamtress and she can't figure out how to keep them in better.

Why am I messing with the curtains? What else do I have to do until the muffler is replaced?

Interesting you say "standard" hooks, as in all my sewing years I've never seen a hook like that. Sailrite does not have much to offer, there certainly must be many styles available. Are you sure those hooks are right-side-up?

We have the same style. Never had problems with them coming off the curtains, but they do come off the loops on the track from time to time.

I wonder if a drop of hot glue on the end of the clip might work? The drop might keep it from slipping out of the hole on the track, and it might be removable if you need to remove the curtains.
