Curtain Clips

Has anyone found replacement curtain clips for their boat? Over at
the AlbinCruisers List we have been searching for them for our Albin
25s with very limited success.

I have also searched for the plastic clips which hold up the curtain rods for
a long time without success. I guess by the lack of response to this
inquiry, they are no longer available. Has anyone replaced the standard
curtain rods with another type of curtain attachment?

Melanie,

One of the members of the AlbinCruisers List has found that the
clips are available from England. Cost is about $1.00 each, I believe that
also includes shipping. I'll check with him tonight and forward the info
to the AV List.

Hi Melaine, Yes I have replaced those curtains with venetian blinds from wall
mart. They come in colors. Know the length you need, before you shop. Glue
small thin wooden blocks to the fiberglass with epoxy. Mount the blinds to
the wooden blocks. Being they are plastic, no worry about rust, corrosion,
etc. You can adjust them for all puposes. Nifty. Walt S.

Hi All,

Here is the info on the curtain clips that we found for our Albin
25's.
From another AlbinCruiser member: I contacted Stefan at Fors Marin
(www.albinmotor.com) and he has them for US$1.00 each. No center ones
available...suggests breaking out the end of an end bracket. I had
used them for engine and reverse gear parts, but had not thought of
them as a supplier of boat parts. He might be getting them from
another supplier...no problem. They
have a pretty good website at www.albinmotor.com
