Seats mounted
Ok here is the report back. The rails are on the boat. It took about four hours with the help of my neighbor, definitely a two man job.Mine is the 93 model so I had no aluminum plate glassed into the hull. Hunter did provided backing plates for me to use. We had to drill and tap the holes, then trim the plates to fit the hull contours. While I could not see the mounting point ,access to the area for the plates was sufficient. I could easily reached it with only one hand. We mounted those plates first, then three other four post laid nicely on the rub rails. The fourth we had to encourage into place, again definitely a two man job. The backing plates for the rub rails were to wide. We bought some aluminum stock cut down to 4 inch strips. Used the provided plates as a template cut the holes and mounted the four post.I contacted Hunter this morning and they are sending the cup holders. Now I notice that the standard Bimini I have seems to conflict with the stern rails. I see one on this site designed for stern rails. Can someone explain the difference to me. How would I dispose of (Sell) the old one if I buy a new one? (I wonder if Jim has a bimini already? We seem to live close together, Dallas.)Anybody know how many 235 Hunter made?Russell
