cruising spinnaker tackline to stemhead on catalina 380

i am adding a cruising spinnaker to my catalina 387. where are you attaching the tackline? are you adding a padeye to the spare anchor roller, or using the anchor roller itself to receive a block on a snapshackle?
what is a safe system to handle the load?
