Cruising Spinnaker on 23.5 (measurements)

I am giving a Christmas present to myself! Could anyone give me the measurements for a cruising spinnaker for a 23.5. I lost my owners manual to Tropical Storm Francis. Thanks

I suggest you contact Bly Berken at this web site or just check the site's store. They have a deal with UK sails and would know the proper size sail for your boat. They had a good price last winter that included a "stasher" used to launch and retrive the sail which was free with purchase of sail - which was also discounted. Maybe this sale will occur again this winter - if you can wait.

Not by the Book

The H23.5 owners manual doesn't give any sail dimensions. I find this a little odd but all the sail lofts have their 'Bible' that gives dimensions for allproduction boats. All sails aren't made by the same recipe and I'm surethere's more variation with spinnakers than mainsails. There is a full pagediagram of spinnaker hardware layout however. Beau,check www.thesailwarehouse.com and click on the "Measuring Sails" button. It gives a complete description of how to determine what sail size you need and what the limts should be as well. This helps when looking at used sails.I have done business with these folks and highly recommend them if you are a do-it-yourselfer. There prices reflect great sails and service (pardon the pun) but they do not hold your hand for everything. Jay

I ordered a cruising spinakker from Kappa Sails (www.kappasails.com) at the Annapolis boat show. They had an extensive data base that may already include your boat. I got three quotes at the show (North, Kappa, and a local sail loft). Kappa had the best price, too.
