You might find an interesting read in Jim Kidd's logs of his cruising aboard Lord's Prayer (link below). Last summer he cruised Maine and the Bay of Fundy. The previous summer he circumnavigaed Newfoundland (with stops in Labrador) from his home in Cambridge, MD

Word document

This was such an interesting story that I copied all of the log entries into one 82-page long Word document. If any of you want to read it in that format, send me a line and I will e-mail it to you. Kenacobb@everestkc.net

Once More...

Jim is at it again. After leaving Cape Charles Harbor on Sunday the 13th, he and Chris arrived in Bermuda today, Saturday, Jan 19. The logs they are generating on this trip are every bit as good as the others.

prop cages

Mr. Kidd ran into so much trouble with lobster pot buoys fouling his prop off the coast of Maine that I wondered if prop cages might be worth it for cruisers in that area. Do they really cause too much drag to be worth doing? (He mentioned that the fishing boats in that area all have the cages.)
