I'd like to find a good cruising guide for Florida (East, West Coasts and Keys). Does anyone have a recommendation. I'd like info on anchorages, marinas, restaurants, points of interest etc...Thanks
cruising guides for both the East and West coast of Florida. They are produced by Maptech(the folks who produce digital charts) and I like them very much. I believe they have a good deal of information on the topics you mentioned. I have also seen their 'digital' guides that run on a computer but as much as I like the hardcopy guides, I dislike their digital ones.
Chris,Claiborne Young has several guides out that are quite detailed. The only drawback I've found is that they tend to get dated as he doesn't update them that frequently. Still, they're very useable just missing the odd marina that has gone under. For the Keys I like Frank Papy's guide and it's updated annually or so. You also want to get a bridge list for the East Coast of Florida if you're going to be in the ditch at all.Jim"Prospect"
