Hurricanes
Hi Guys:Appreciate all the good information. Thanks. It is especially refreshing not to have the "greater than thou’s”, sharing all their experiences with either scorn, sarcasm, or superiority attitudes.Hey, could this be what we all have been seeking; genuine and enjoyable camaraderie?Anyhow, as to the hurricane season: our putting the boat on the hard from June/July to Sept/Oct. is not only due to the high probability of hurricane damage, but because of the oppressive heat and humidity (personal position). With the appreciably diminished winds during the summer we find this time is good for addressing the shore side responsibilities. Unfortunately, leaving in October is not negotiable due to the eminent cold weather arriving sooner rather than later. PS Just got off 20 meters with a resident of Ponta Garde. His report is that the town is very nice and quiet, but still much to be done after the hurricane damage of 2 years ago. Frank
