I am looking to crew a sailboat (any size) or become a shared expense partner for a while. I don't have a sailboat yet because I want to learn as much as I can about sailing before I buy my first sailboat. Apparently, I am hooked on sailing since I went on my first sailing 101 intro with Novelman a couple of days ago. I will be doing this again with Novelman in January and the months that follow, but I would like to go sailing more frequently if possible. I have a flexible schedule and I am off 3 days a week! I am fit, healthy and don't get seasick. I know there are a lot of you in my area who might need a good hand. Please be in or near Los Angeles and Ventura counties. Happy holidays! Armen

Armen, Post a notice of your desire at a couple of

marinas that are convenient to you. Here you advertise to a world wide group but you want a geographically small area of interest.

take a class and you'll meet lots of folks. Also, grab a free copy of Santana at any local chandlery or marina and watch for their bi annual crew list publication. You'll get lots of call, even for daysailing newbies.

You can always scout out the local racing scene an

d show up on Wed. or Thur. or whatever night informal racing takes place with a six pack.
