The floor boards down below on my 426 DS are creaky. Anyone know how to minimize this? Gasket? Rubber buttons? Ear plugs? (for my ears)
Thanks for your reply.

Grease? ;-)
Probably an indication that they are "getting soft" and you should start considering saving up to replace them.
I'd try pulling them and cleaning all the mating surfaces. Could just be dirt allowing the sole boards to flex and make noise. clean boards tend to "stick" in place

talc powder will do the trick between them, for squeeks coming from under (between the grids and the floor, I use the felt pads from Lowe's

Had a creak in floor of aft cabin that drove me nuts. I found where it was coming from and put a shot of McLube Sailkote on it and no more creaks.

In my boat the creaking was due to a couple access covers which were misaligned and were only touching in 2 or 3 corners. So I cut some thin shims of wood and epoxied them to the bottom of the access covers and that leveled them and fixed the creaking. If you look carefully at the access covers in the deck you will likely see some of these shims put in at the factory.

Get a grease stick at Ace Hardware and apply around each edge. This will not only fix the creak problem but will also help seal the unfinished edges.

Bill, is there any further information on replacement of flooring? I have a section on my H45DS that had "gotten soft" and am not sure what my options are in terms of replacement/repair.
