Craning a dry-docked 22

Follow-Up to question re: crane lifting a dry-docked 22. Have found that by using two 20 foot (20,000lb test ~$25 each at Wal-Mart) 3" wide towing straps fore and aft of the keel, and a few additional feet of chain (4000lb test from Home Depot) to connect the ends of each strap - I'm able to crane my O'Day 22 into the water without much fuss (less and less each time). The center of gravity appears to be about 2 feet behind the mast. Now I do have to adjust the chain lengths to keep the crane arm clear of the back-stay, but that's about the only real variable left - water levels in Lake Michigan are quite low, so its a long trip down. Of course now that I've gotten in the water, other tiny issues have arisen...water in the bilge for one. Hope this helps.
