I am buying a 1993 Hunter 30T. All four cabin windows are cracked and leaking. Is this caused by the cabin flexing or could it be that the lexan and surrounding fiberglass expand and/or contract differently at various temperatures. Where can I get these odd shaped windows? Can they be replace with standard lexan from Lowes or Home Depot? Can these windows be replaced with stainless framed windows? If so, where can I get framed windows that will fit the openings? Finally, is this a "do it yourself" job or should it be left to the professionals?

windows

Here the story I have,my window I feel was done by the travel lift or the yard guys not supporting the keel right or the jack stands as the window was ok when I had left it at the dock that night for a first thing pull out, but returning in the morning one was cracked and they didnt know anything about it.You can get these at Hunter for $40.00 and to remove them you need to get some strong fishing line and have someone on the inside of the boat and someone on the outside to kinda "saw" the sealant to get it out the sealant is dow corning rtv 739. I dont think its the boat as I have been in some real pounding waves and my 94 30T took them real well 8 to 10 footers. Hope this helps you out and I think you could do this yourself just take your time and pick a day of no rain.
