Buying a 2004 Beneteau 423 (2)
What type of material is recommended to replace the chronic cracks that the 423 & 473 experienced in 2004-2006?

I would check first with Beneteau. Perhaps this is something they either are fixing or can recommend...

You must be buying an earlier model which had persistent cracks. Early on Beneteau was covering them with a laminate material - although I think it's a bit tacky looking. The countertop is an epoxy slurry mix poured directly on top of plywood. You might want to join the yahoo group 423 owners forum.
