I had someone look at my boat yesterday to quote putting a teak sole in the cockpit. He noticed a crack in the gel coat on the starboard side in the corner round that runs about 18" or so down the side. I have know about this and was planning to fix it with a gel coat repair kit but he felt it was a bigger problem and gave me contact information for a fiberglass guy who I called and is going to take a look at it next week.
It looks to me like flexing in the sole caused the cracking because there is nothing under it to support it, its just kind of like a bathtub if you will. I'm thinking mine is not the only C30 that has seen this although I haven't read about it as a known problem. Has anyone seen this before? I will get some pics up as soon as I'm able.
