Inexpensive side stay covers
I spent about $5 for a short length of PVC pipe with an inside diameter of about 4 inches and 2 end caps. I cut the pipe to a length that covered the offending, sheet grabbing part of the bracket, slit the pipe from top to bottom so that it would fit over the wire, and slid it down to the deck. I drilled a hole in the top, center of the cap the size of the wire, so that it would stay centered. I cut an "L" shaped piece out of the cap, from the hole in the top to the bottom of the cap, about the same width as the wire. This allows me to slip the cap over the wire then down over the pipe. I put the "L" shaped piece back in the space from which it was cut and put a single stainless steel screw through the bottom of the "L" and into the pipe to hold everthing in place. Works like a charm.
