I cannot find a coverage chart on the interwebs for Interlux Perfection. I figure that when I add half my transom plus the length of the boat I get 29 ft multiplied by the freeboard @ 3.5 ft mutlipled by 3 gives me 29x3.5x2 = 203. Does anyone know what the covergae of InterLux Perfection is or about how many Qts it will take to do two coats?

The original owner painted the boat and it has been on the gelcoat for quite a few years. I think painting is my best option. Off the white options, (photo of color chart provided) What color white do you think will match best to the color of the topside gelcoat? The top gelcoat is in great shape.

Most paints except high build coatings allow about 400 square feet per gallon

that being a ball park I would expect that you will need about a gallon. If you spill and drip a lot you may need to plan on a bit more.

Dave, I have had pleasing results with

McCormack Interlok Urethane direct to metal enamal at about 33 dollars per gallon. I painted my dink 5 years ago with it and it this year needs a new coat. I painted everthing above the waterline on Bietzpadlin this spring with the same paint, 2 coats. We are completely satisfied with the results.

I painted mine 3 years ago...

I used 4 quarts of oyster white and one quart of the black for a Catalina 34.

I have already ordered the primer

for Interlux Perfection, so I think I will bite the bullet on the cost.

Zaphro, I checked out your website, nicely done and nicely documented! I read to cut it 10 - 15%. How much more did you thin the paint while painting?
