I've been wanting hiking straps in my Hunter 18 since I bought it. Curious whether any 18 owners have installed hiking straps and if so, how/where they anchored them.
On a different note, has anyone club raced their 18 and received either a PHRF or Portsmouth Yardstick rating? To race mine we started with the Hunter 170 PY rating and added adjustments for extra length, hull weight, S/A, and the spin w/sprit to come up with an 88 DPN or 204 PHRF rating. Hard to ignore the skipper/crew variable, but in favorable light air lake sailing my sense is the boat underperforms that adjusted rating.
