I just got a 1971 27' hunter, and the inside has been gutted. Does anyone know about what it will cost to get this boat back in shape. I am a truck driver and i am only home 4 days a month, so i will be living on the boat when i am home, so i will need stove and small head

Jason,
A few pictures off what is left may help. I hope they didn't gut to deeply. Then again, a porta potti $125 and a single burner Origio stove $100 used to $250 new, would meet your requirement.

In my opinion if you wanted the cabin to look presentable, I think you could buy the materials necessary for the project for for between 1 and 3 thousand. And hiring a skilled carpenter to fit it up at say $250 to $500 a day for a week or two would get the job done. So I think it all depends on how nice you want it and who you can find to do the work. The top end of that would be about the going price for a used hunter 27 whose cabin is already in very livable shape, and you'd be very lucky to get someone working for the bottom end price who could get it done in a week, and it would be pretty bare bones at only $1000 bucks in materials and fixtures. Check the manufacture date- I think Hunter's oldest boats are 1974
