|Does anyone have information on how much various options were on the Hunter 260 & 270 models during the years of production???? Especially interested in such options as cloth versus vinyl cabin cushion covers, wheel versus tiller option, diesel engine option, trailer for 260 versus 270 etc.

Go boat info here and ask 260 & 270 owners if they remember because I have no idea,when I almost got a 260 it was at the dealer and complete deal all set to go out the lot ready to sail $25,000.

Purchase Options
I still have my purchase paperwork with the itemized details. However my boat is shrink-wrapped until spring.
I can tell you that my options doubled the cost of the base boat. I got everything I cared about added at delivery time. I'll try to list them. Many were provided by the dealer, not Hunter, so the cost would be regional.
Helm station, upgraded outboard, remote outboard controls, cloth interior, AC system with shore power outlet, battery charger, cockpit seat cushions, extra tall helm station seat cushion, VHF radio, Speed and depth instrumentation, AM/FM DVD player, Bimini with stainless hardware (Dealer had only ever offered aluminum for this boat, I had to insist to get stainless) Boat name graphic for port/starboard/stern. Anti-foul bottom paint.
There was a dealer "sail-away" package with anchor/chain/rode, mooring lines, fenders, dishes, cups, and bowls, air horn and flares.
I don't recall if the Magic Tilt two axle trailer was part of the base, or an option. I do know we had it listed separate to lower the the registration costs. $2,500

Since I intorduced both boats for Hunter, a few comments about them
The hull and cabin were basically the same except for two areas. The keel version came with or without an inboard diesel depending on choice of course; otherwise you would use an outboard on the back of the boat like the standard 260. The steps in the companionway were different if you got the 270 with an egine lid/steps vs the standard on the 260.
Sail area and options from Hunter were the same. I am not sure if shore power for the keel version was offered by Hunter but installed all mine for my customers as I placed more outlets on board and cheaper.
Both boats had the standard mast raising gear. The trailers were different as the one for the 270 had to carrry an actual keel tray and you had to have the longer ramps which to get the boat in and out of. Plus the 270 was 5000 lbs. dry while the water ballast was only 3000 lbs. dry weight. The 270 of course sat much higher on the trailer and was alot more in cost to include the trailer as well. Not many 270's were sold which why it was not built as long as the 260. Most people preferred the trailerability of the 260 to fit their needs
