Anyone know what the cost of a new Oday 28 was back in 1983?

When (if?) you get a reply, don't forget to adjust that price for inflation to see what it would be in today's $$$. In most cases, it's not too far off what they're asking for the same boat today.

Hi, I don't know about the 28, but for comparison, my folks told me they bought their 1983 O'day 30 brand new that year for $36,000.

In regards to inflation, the Consumer Price Index was $98 in January 1983 and $257 in September 2019.

Hi, I don't know about the 28, but for comparison, my folks told me they bought their 1983 O'day 30 brand new that year for $36,000.

The Google says $36K adjusted for inflation, equals $90,761.51 in 2018.

Probably the closest current boat to an O'day 30 would be a Catalina 315, which goes for approximately $195,660 for a 2018 model. What's with the $100K premium? Wha!
