Well, all the stress of getting the $ and getting the boat ready for the trip up the Bay. (chesepeake) from Deale to the Sasafrass River was done by friday morning and we finally shipped out. It was Great! The winds were fair most of the day. We anchored that night at a Anchorage on the Magothy River. Slept on the cockpit benches, it was too hot down below. Sunday Morning we were back on the Bay, going north via SW and NE tacks. About Mid afternoon we had a nice wind running just about due north. Wing and wing is hard to manage for hours on end so we used the Jib mostly. Following seas of 2-3 ft were fun. (not terrifying like in my little hunter 23) By Saturday night we were at Sailing Associates Pier. After some hasty docking, showers, and clean clothing we had some great food at really nice italian restaurant next to the West Marine store in Georgetown. Two days on a new old Oday were two of the best days of sailing I've ever had! Fair winds! Denise
