Actually as I read further posts I am wondering what the correct prop size should be for my H 28.5. I have read the log book from PO and it states that the prop is 16 x 10, (Original Prop). I am not beginning to wonder if I am over sized, and this has helped contribute to my excess smoke and and other issues with under RPM performance, and eventually to the possible mixing elbow issue I hope to look into this weekend.

Any thoughts or what size prop you have on other 28.5's would be appreciated.

Whats your engine size? I've comment that a h280 with 9hp Yanmar 1GM10 swing a 13"Dx10"P 2blade prop. I hazard a guess if yours has a 2GM20F, a 2 blade 15" or 16" D x 10"P should be ok.

Yes I have a 2GM20F on my 28.5. Prop is clean that 16 incher looks pretty big. All the log notes from PO never say anything about having changed the Prop. Hence my thought that it is the original. PO kept great notes of work and when hours and date wise.
