I own a 2004 Beneteau 323. I need either a gasket for or a new Lewmar portlight sized 25.5 X 7.5. As I read the manufacturer's table, this is (probably) a size 4 New Standard Portlight, However, when I click on this particular model, I am asked whether I want a white or an ivory color. My current portlight is aluminum on the outside and aluminum on the inside--there is no color. Am I missing something here?

Hi new323owner,

That is the colour of the trim kit that is fitted on the inside frame hiding the mounting screws.

Funny, none of my port lights have inside frames.....the mounting screw heads are exposed on all of them. Thanks for your input.

New; What is the issue with your portlight? You likely have the a "new standard portlight", #4, and everything is available in the Sailboatowners.com store here at the forum. However, before you turn this into a port replacement project clean your port gasket with soapy water and test your port with a hose. Dirty gaskets are common causes of leaks. Good luck!

Thanks for your reply. I do plan to clean the gasket and to test for the source of the leak before I order parts or a new portlight.

In addition to cleaning the gasket, clean the contact surfaces on the window itself. Any gritty or salty buildup on the edges, no matter how minor it appears, can cause a leak.

good point Doug. I had problems with leaking Lewmar ports and found that by cleaning the gasket and port lens EVERY TIME I use them the leaks went away. Don't use anything too strong, soapy dishwater works fine.
