Core material??

Can anyone tell me what the core material is on a Hunter 380? I'm getting moisture readings on an area on the side of the boat.

Before doing anything check to see if there is a bulkhead etc on the inside of the boat where you got the moisture reading. My boat doesn't have any core moisture but measured high at every spot that had a liner of bulkhead.

BTW - I'm pretty sure it is balsa coring above the waterline and solid fiberglass below the waterline.

Before you do anything, have someone else check the suspected area.

Had a neighbor that had survey. Surveyor said there was moisture in deck. They took core samples and it was totally dry and never was wet.
