My $200 Chinese made refrigerator died after three months. There was nothing obviously wrong, compressor running, condenser fan OK, etc. Temperature would not go below 61 degrees. A fellow on the dock said his son had been looking for a refrigerator for long time and doing research as he is a long haul truck driver. He purchased a Dometic refrigerator from a truck stop and has had nothing but good thinks to say about it. I bit the bullet and ordered one from Amazon. It is a 55 liter and operates with 12/24 and 120 vac. It was very expensive, $969. All the reviews said two things, it is very expensive, and it works very well. Report will follow after it is in and running.

I bought that exact model a year ago. It has worked reliably and as advertised as of today.
And, If it lasts, it will be $900 bucks well spent.
Just remember, never put ice in it and clean any casual water in the bottom regularly.

The refrigerator arrived today. It is huge compared to my first one, 18x19x28 inches. It should fit in the entrance to the aft double bunk area under the cockpit. I plan to tie it down which will make it hard to get back there but I try not to crawl in there now because it is difficult to get back out (to old to bend). I am very impressed with the attention to detail including an inside light. It has a five year parts, labor, and freight warranty which I hope I will not have to use. My daughter is an Amazon delivery driver and works ten minutes from the boat. She is spending three to four night there a week and the refrigerator is a necessity.

I got the refrigerator to the boat. It barely fits but it holds enough for three to four days. The photo was taken sitting on the starboard seat in the cabin looking under the cockpit. The next project is curtains.

We bought a Coleman Chiller for $89 off of Amazon and it is doing a great job (so far) of keeping our drinks cold. Our boat has a refrigerator but we keep it full of food with no room for drinks plus it is rather inconvenient to get drinks out of it. We were just using ice in a cooler but at $3 a bag each day, the ice was getting expensive.

Our boat has a refrigerator
Our P42 has both a top loader freezer and separate top and front loader refrigerator, which has a shelf where we keep plastic containers for condiments, etc. We keep all our chilled beverages in the bottom of the fridge where front loader access is pretty convenient.

Ours does also but it is full of food and I dislike bending over :) Too many back injuries.

I purchased a Yeti Roadie 24 hard cooler.
A 5lb bag of ice and I have chilled drinks for about 6-7 days.
