How about an Apple Pie?

Just posted a recipe for a pie that Jill made when were anchored far from any place and we found we only had one ( 1 ) apple remaining.

Turned out to be a great desert! And it's easy to make!

You can see it at our Galley web page for Deserts at;

Enjoy!

Try taking, ginger, olive oil, rosemary, diced garlic, and Tamara sauce, Mix amounts to taste. Marinate veggies - I slice up onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, zucchini, yellow squash (summer), what is available fresh at the market, or you have on hand.
Put them on the smoker, grill, whatever you have, and cook. I like a slight char on them.
Makes a great side to BBQ

I would sure love to see all of that on a magma grill on the stern rail of a boat.

We believe that we should dine as well on the boat as we do at home.
I like that attitude! I feel the same way. We probably eat better on the boat...

We do that quite often. Peppers, crimini mushrooms, asparagus, onion, zuchini, oil, spice etc. Nice thing about the Magma grills is the narrow spaces on the grills so smaller pieces don't fall through.

Top that off with a fillet of rainbow trout, fresh peppercorn, sea salt, oil the grill, cook 2-3 min. meat side down then flip for 4-5 min. until cooked on the skin side :D

A lot of the time better. At home always something going on. On the boat have more time to prep and cook dinner.

Dinners cooked on the boat are wonderful, but in my mind, nothing beats a hot breakfast aboard. There is no better way to start the day than sitting in the cockpit with a mug of tea, an omelet, a stack of hot pancakes right off the stove, and some sliced fruit or berries. My wife mixes all the dry ingredients for a batch of pancakes at home and puts them in a ziploc bag to bring to the boat. She used to mix up the pancakes in a large measuring cup, but now finds it easier to add the wet ingredients to the bag, mix everything up by mashing the bag around, and then pour batter right from the bag into the skillet. Delicious.
