Working, navigation and interior illumination requires power. LEDs use far less battery power for equal lumens of output. For the sake of battery draw alone, it seems advantageous to get all the filament bulbs out and switch them all to LEDs.

Is there a cross reference/compatibility chart somewhere, that states what LED bulb number/model will fit in a filament type incandescent socket - without replacing the entire connection?

I like the LED light strings for cabin lighting concept but am now thing about running lights as well.

Does such a cross reference exist and if so, can anyone provide a link?

Ken,

There may not be a "one and only" list, but the LED sources from manufacturers cover a lot of ground.

The main ones that come to mind are

sensibulb
marinebeam
DrLED

The website addresses are obvious.

I'd also suggest a quick search on LED on this or other boards and you'd be reading for weeks.

Use the language "festoon 43 mm LED Aqua Signal" to search. I replaced all of mine. Inside and out. If I remember correctly the interior was a socket style and I picked mine up at an RV store. The Aqua Signal replacements were from Dr. LED. Pricy too. Check your festoon ends....mine were "Barrel" style and not pointed. Pointed is more common. NAV lights were 43 mm in length cool white. The Aqua Signal model is 25. My boat is a 1988.
