Dear Peggy I have a Hunter 430 1995 with Jabsco manual toilets,I woul like to install an electric unit, the problem with a new unit even same brand is that the floor fasteners wont match, electrical toilets have an bigger diameter and I am not sure if I drill new holes,if under the floor they have reinforcment. The easest way is to convert the original one with conversion kit from Jabsco part nr.29015-0020. I installed years ago seame conversion kit on a Hunter 37,6 and had only problems with the unit.I would appretiate your experience with this unit or if you have an better solution pls help me out Thks Thomas

Not the best choice, especially for a sailboat

It's noisy enough to wake the dead, draws a whopping 24a/flush (vs 16 for most other raw water electric macerating toilets and 10 for most designed to use pressurized flush water) and still prone to the same problems you had on your previous boat. It's unlikely that even the new models of the same older head will match the mounting bolt holes...so that's no big deal, it's something just about everyone who's ever replaced a toilet has to deal with. You're not gonna run into any "floor joists" you can't drill into. Go with the Raritan SeaEra...it's the best "bang for the buck" on the market, and the pressurized flush water version is actually quieter than a household toilet. You'll love it.
