Continuing adventures of Wee Happy

Well, progress is slow. It's *cold* in the southeast right now! We've been bearing 20 degree nights and staying inside on the ICW. We keep hoping for fair weather to go outside for overnight runs so that we can really put the miles behind us. No luck so far.

So we're plodding along and having adventures on the ICW.

Loved Charleston! Hung out with real living hobos/bums round a fire on an island! Rode a pedi-cab / bike taxi! Reached complete physical exhaustion/incapacitation from hauling two anchors with 150 feet of line/chain each! Hung out with dolphins! Beat a roomy coastal cruiser who had to turn back because of the chop in some icw channel. Got *fresh* shrimp and oysters from fishermen in Calabash--the home of Calabash style cooking! Damn the hush puppies were good!

So many stories!

Also installed a bow anchor roller and deck pipe to store the anchor chain in the bow. Made and installed an electrical panel with stereo and speaker and fuse panel, inverter, and 12v and 120v outlets. Have to take pictures of these and post them on our blog.

When you get to Thunder Bolt Georgia you can anchor out and with a short
walk catch a bus into Savannah. So if the weather is bad there is a
couple days of wondering around town that is great fun. I like Savanna
every much as much as Charleston though it is different. Don't lament
the fact that you are in the waterway it's a great place to be.
