Is there any rule that say we can't discuss personal
topics.Some of my favourite items have been personal
in nature and I would hate to see this end. This site
functions much like a clubhouse bar where all topics
related to the Vega are open to discussion.No?

Another way to read this forum is on the Yahoo web site,

Yahoo! Groups

groups.yahoo.com

One can peruse the message headers and the first few lines, only
reading the ones of interest. Helps keeps the 'Inbox' clean

I'm relatively new to this forum and find some interest in all
messages ... in fact I've read right back to #1, and use the
Yahoo 'search' function to find messages of a specific topic ... very
handy. Somehow I also find time to go sailing, too

I think everyone are interested of topics about the Vega and I think all of
us know how to delete a mail. This was propably just a guy who had a bad day
or tried a bad whiskey. In one way I can understand him, it has been a very
long winter with no sailing. Just ignore him, the spring is coming up.

I've been a member for something like 5 years and almost all the content I have seen is just fine. If I don't want to follow a thread (e.g. tenders) I just delete w/o opening. But if I were replacing a dingy or whatever I'd want to see it all! I guess I'd prefer not to see politics - that bane of all comfortable discussion - but it ain't broke so let's not fix it.Nicholas Walsh
