Broke the centerboard line as well as the base of the mast on my two-year old 260. Does anyone have the name/number of someone at Hunter that I could call to see if these would be considered warranty repairs? I'm also looking for suggestions on a competent dealer to do the work near western PA or OH - if anyone has any suggestions... Thanks! Tim Houston Squirt - H260

just interested

to know how you broke the mast base? I don't know about warrenty repair. My guess would be if it was defective it would be warrenty if not you would be on your own. You should call your insurance agent also if this damage was the result of a accident(mishap?)to see if it is covered under your insurance.Good Luck !

You might try Wind and Water (724)586-2030. I believe they are a rep for Hunter Sales so they may be able to help with the repairs.

Mast Repair

While lowering the mast at the end of last season, the mast raising pole (inserted into the bottom of the mast) became loose and sliced through a six inch section of the mast just above the hole. Hunter sent me a "repair kit" under warranty. This kit is actually, a collar,(which fits around the base of the mast), and a new mast raising pole to replace the bent one. Not sure how mant others have had this same issue. The mast raising pole is significantly stronger than the mast and does not make a tight fit in the mast hole. It cut through the mast like a knife through butter.
