Hunter 40 Lake Texoma
Hi everyone, I am very interested in purchasing a local 1985 Hunter 40' wondering if any previous or current H40' owners had any insight as to what to be wary of on these babies, if anything? Appreciate your insight.
Thanks,
Capt Jim

The H40 was the next big boat after my H37C. It is literally twice the size, mammoth compared to mine. And I am not a fan of two heads on any boat, certainly not on a 40-footer. I guess you could turn one into a wet locker. It is roomy and a good sailing boat as I learned from my dockmate. It is traditional which I prefer, and fast. Still, except for the affordability, if I were upgrading I would opt for a walk-through transom. I like to swim off my boat and there is the getting in and out of the dinghy.
