I've been considering an AV. Any for sale here? Would prefer a newer boat with inboard. Western half of the US. Trailer not necessary. Thanks Gordon

Mine is for sale. She is older and needs a good paint job but is exceptionally well equipped. Go to Craig's List, click on California, SF Bay area, boats by owner. Search for minimum 27', maximum 27' under that click on sail and then update search to see
her. WaltFrom: AlbinVega@yahoogroups.com AlbinVega@yahoogroups.com on behalf of gazuum@... [AlbinVega] AlbinVega@yahoogroups.com

That boat IS seriously equipped. Have you ever weighed her? just
curious.
As you say, it needs paint. Was it painted before? It appears to
be peeling and cracked in some of the pics. It's hard to believe the
Oregon rain forest could do that!
thanks
Gordon

Hi Gordon, No I haven't weighed her but I would guess several hundred pounds more than design. The Yanmar diesel took about a hundred pounds off as it weighs less than the old Albin gas engine that the series 1 came with. The rain didn't hurt the hull paint
but ocean surge did. At times it was quite bad. Popped more than one fender. Yes, it was painted in the past. Crazing of the gelcoat has been a problem and I probably should have put down multiple coats of Primer. Truly all of the old paint hull and topsides
needs to come offFrom: AlbinVega@yahoogroups.com AlbinVega@yahoogroups.com on behalf of Gordon gazuum@... [AlbinVega] AlbinVega@yahoogroups.com

Gordon, The other message accidentally got sent prematurely, continue reading on that one as I've added to it. Send your email address to bestvega@... and I'll send you a more itemized list of what's aboard along with approximate prices of what we
paid it. waltFrom: walt judy brown allore bestvega@...
