I would like to know is there a 1995 26 and a 1995 260 which might be a more optioned model or is the 260 just a newer boat all together.

1997 change over 26 to 260
According to the Boat info section of HOW, it appears that the changeover from the H26 to H260 occured in 1997. The 260 superceded the 26 with a changed stern, rudder, added a galley cabinet and opening port in the aft berth and optional wheel steering. Also added support struts to the mast and increasd the sail plan slightly as well as increased the water line by 6 inches. Fair winds, Tom
