Since I bought my 361 in 2000, whenever I cruse, and run the refrigeration for an extended period of time, there is an accumulation of water in the bilge in the section between the sink and head. There is never enough water to drain in to the bilge sump. I was wondering if any other folks have this problem. Have you been able to find a solution? Thanks, Steve

Me too.

Hi Steve, I have a 331, does the same thing. Took me just about forever to figure out where it was comming from. I don't know if there is anything that can be done either. I just sponge it up every evening after cleaning up in the galley. It is usually only a couple of ounces a day. I always taste it to see if it is fresh or salt. For a while I was getting some salt. I discovered that the vented loop on the engine cooling had a short hose that let the water drip down the bulkhead and make it's way to the same pan. Have you experienced that as well?

Condensation...

Condensation on the lines from the fridge to the motor under the galley dry locker causes this. Put an absorbant dishtowel in under the oven through the cupboard door & replace this often when the refer is being used...this will help a bit. Unless you can cut down on humidity...this problem will unfortunitly always be there. Regards, Paul. www.winpipe.ca

Condensation from refrigeation

Thank you. I have concluded that the water is condesation, and I will look into the return lins to the compressor to make sure thay are fully insulated. No I do not get any salt water in side my 361. Steve

Thanks for the tip

Sounds like insulating the copper tubes is a good idea. Might also gain some efficiency by reducing the cold loss. Worth a try.

Water in the bilge

I had the same symptom but found my problem was condensation from my a/c unit. My a/c is in the port side lazerrete and has a small sump pump under the condensation pan. The sump pump stopped working causing the condensation to overflow and work it's way to the low point on the boat. You guessed it, the low point is not where the bilge pump is, but rather in that section between the galley sink and the head.
