It might...

But if I read their literature correctly, it's not for use where cosmetics matter:

"Unlike traditional “wet kill” products, Concrobium works as it dries – hardening over the moldy surface to form an invisible film that physically crushes the mold micro-organism underneath. And Concrobium stays on surfaces to provide continual resistance against mold regrowth"

So it doesn't seem to do anything about stains, just the mold.

You've piqued my curiosity...I'll give 'em a call Monday.

I'm looking forward to what your find out. I'm sure I wouldn't want to just set up a fogger in the middle of the cabin but, with proper taping up of openings, this might be just the stuff to get up into the hard to reach spots where I'm having problems such as between the hull liner and hull and between the water tank and hull.

That would be funny if the CG show's up when they see all the smoke coming out of the boat. Sounds like you had a good trip in the storms. I've got a question about your fuel filter and will email later.

The whole problem with mold control is that the mold spores are ubiquitous. The only way to prevent mold growth is to alter the environment by removing or poisoning the nutrient source, or reducing the moisture levels. The nutrient source is as ubiquitous as the mold spores, pollen and organic dust work just fine to support mold.

Roger:

One question I would have on a boat would be the fact that the mold got there because of warm/moist conditions. Now that we have encased the "OLD" mold what is going to prevent the "NEW" mold from growing over the product?

I realize that you pointed out about the "hard to reach" inaccessible areas, but overtime it may start taking up room on the boat if the new stuff grows over the old stuff. <g>

I had a minor mold growth problem in the storage space beneath the vee berth. I wired in another computer fan with inlet and outlet on opposite sides. After two years there is no new mold growth.
