Without winch covers protecting them from the sun, how long would you expect the composite winches to last?

Bob,These winches should last 7-10 years with no problems, depending on amount of use and area of UV exposure. I would expect a boat used every day in the caribbean to see more wear than one in New England. Replacement drums are available in both low-cost composite and chrome.
