Day Sailor Rudder

Is there a different rudder, rudderhead and tiller on the Day Sailor II? I need either a supplier or plans and specs. Thanks, Burt

Day Sailer I and II used same rudder

The Day Sailer I and II used the same rudder while O'Day was building both. The DS II continued to use that rudder until about 1983, when O'Day changed to a different (and non-class legal) rudder. The old rudder should still fit, and the new rudder can be made to fit the older boats.Dimensions for the DS Rudder can be found on the Day Sailer Association Web-site. New rudders are available from D & R Marine and Cape Cod Shipbuilding. Both will sell you a rudder and tiller together or just the rudder.
