what do you 216 owners use for a compass? do you install a bulkhead type? or some mast mounted? got my first look at a 216 this last weekend, it is so much larger in the cockpit than i expected. that's nice. doug
I just got a Plastimo 130 with the optional mast bracket from Annapolis Preformance Sailing. I've only been out once since I set it up but it's great. The one problem I had was the screws that came with the compass were for surface mounting and the bracket only had the screws for the track. I keep a bin of spare SS Machine screws on the boat so it was a quick fix.
Been thinking about a compass and where to mount. Ok, mast mount seems perfect, except that's a long ways away from the helm. The units mentioned, are they visible from there? Any other ideas? Thanks.
