Compass Fluid leaked out.....

The Fluid in my Saturn compass has leaked out. Can that be refilled or is it toast? Any comments?

I just rec'd a Saturn compass as a gift. I'm pretty sure that they can't be re-filled. Tell me which one you have, if it's the same, I could look through the documentation.$59 at BoatUS - Great deal!

I'm not sure of the model number. It was on the boat and in this condition when I pruchased it. But it is the bulkhead mount style.

Call a shop

There are shops that will do all types of repairs and reconditioning of compasses. You may just want to call one to see if that model is worth repairing. I have seen recondition compasses that perform as good as new.
