Compass Cover

Has anyone had to and found a replacement cover for a Danforth Compass
on a 1985 34ft. Hunter.
It got destroyed when assembling my Bimini Steel. No damage was done the Compass itself, thankfully.

If it is in a pedestal my dock partner had a good idea after he lost his. He used a kids skull cap to cover his. May be a decent temporary fix. He passed away but the skull cap is still in use.
