Since it is raining buckets every four hours, I decided to stay at port and try to figure out why the slider does not slide. The slider sticks about half way back which my wife finds a real pain in the ???.I found that the teak strip on the top side is rubbing the fiberglass part of the companionway. When I removed the teak piece it was coated with glass dust and scratched from rubbing the fiberclass underside. I could also see teak coloring on the fiberglass from the rubbing. Once I took the teak stopper off the glass part slid very easily. The fiberglass part of the companionway appears to be sagging and does not have the strength to hold shape. I tried sanding down the teak piece but can only go down so far.I'll give Hunter a call this week to see what they have to say about this.JimS/V Java
