Hi I have a 1978 20 ft. O'Day and last weekend I lost the bottom part of my companionway hatch. I call it a panel. There are three pieces and I lost the bottom piece in the water. I cant seem to find it after many dives down. Where can I go to replace this piece?

Obviously it wasn't wood, or it would have floated away. All you need is a table saw and the material it was made out of. Go buy the material, measure up the space for the missing drop board and make a new one. If you don't have a table saw, I bet a buddy does. If not, then a good marine service department will make one up for you locally.
