H31 There was a post on one of these boards describing how someone made opening doors for the companionway. I saved the thread and now I guess I've lost it. I've looked in the archives with no luck. He had a clever way of attaching the doors to the aluminum frame and it didn't leak. There was pictures too. It might not have been a 31, but it was a similar sized boat. I know Crusing Concepts has a pricy kit for this, but I'll build them myself. Any help appreciated.....Gary

probably not me but

I think I might have mentioned making doors last year for our 40.5. They are built so as to butt against the aft side of the lexan slides such that we can use either the doors or boards, or both. For what it's worth, let me know if it may be of any use and I'll send you the pics. Don

Photo Forum

Do a search in the photo forum for doors and you will find several. I wish Santa would bring some to me! I think this website use to sell them but I know you can get them from Cruising Concepts.

Thanks.....

Don/Andy.....I've never noticed the search on the project site. You're right, plenty of pics. Don, I think mine will have to fit into the slot since the sliding hatch wouldn't slide aft far enough to cover it. Thnaks

Doors in companionway

I found this photo a while back. It's not on my boat, but it looks like a nice addition.
