I've had had companionway doors made by Cruising Concepts which are sold on this web site
http://www.companionwaydoors.net. On one boat I had teak doors and on my present boat I have starboard (plastic) doors. The workmanship is impeccable--you can't see a single screw.
I know that when we sold our Hunter 380 four years ago, the companionway doors were one of the items the new buyer mentioned that she especially liked. On our present Hunter 27 a number of people have commented positively about the doors.
Expensive but I am convinced that when I need to sell my boat it will be a positive factor. Cruising Concepts is located in the San Juan Islands and is very connected in designing items for boats.
