If anyone is on their boat this weekend or right now. Could you measure the companion way entrance opening for me. I'm looking at building some screens for my boat but it doesn't arrive for another month. Also if it's not to much trouble could you measure the hatch openings as well Thanks ahead of time. Don

44" diagionally

Don, Last month, I had to figure the greatest width of the companionway opening through which I could pass a new bulkhead. With the hatch cover pushed all the way forward, I measured 43" diagonally. I was able to gain another inch (44") by removing the bottom teak stop bar from the underside of the hatch cover. I probably could have gained another inch if I removed the wooden stop bar across the top of the hatch, but I didn't need the added space.

Hi Scott I was looking for the size of the opening with the hatch closed. I would like to put a screen there to keep out the flys. thanks

not square corners

Don: You will really need to have the boat because the corners are not sqaure. The screen will be a trapezoid. When we did ours we use the bottom slat and then made the screen so it fit on top of the original bottom slat in place.

measurment

Hi Steve I guess what I was looking for was the base measurement, the sides to the top and the width across the top of the opening. Even if you could give me the measurements of yours with the bottom board in place would help. Thanks Don
