combing cleats

Has anyone come up with ideas for replacing the cleats
on the cockpit combings. My idea is to squeeze into
the cockpits puting several extensions on a drill and
attaching the nuts to the bolts. bAnyone try this?
My original ones have worn away. Zo......Thanks

It is the way I went. Also you will need a "universal" on your socket
because of the angles.
Not for the clastrophobic or those that can't scrunch up into weird
positions.
